Getting Started

    Leading is more nuanced than ever. And, it can be very lonely. Making tough calls without a sounding board can be hard to put it lightly. And, you don’t have to go it alone. In Advising, we’ll get in it with you, acting as a thought partner, sounding board to help you think through the toughest of calls with grace.

  • Great question. The purpose of coaching is to move forward - whatever that means to you. So, we start with the end in mind.

    Fast forward to the end of our time working together. What’s new for you? What does it feel like? How will you know you’ve achieved what you wanted? How are you different?

    The rest of our sessions are centered around what you need to get to what you most want. You can expect that we’ll both challenge and support you along the way.

  • One of our core beliefs is that we can all (yes, you!) can lead from any seat. No matter your job title, it is possible to tap into your agency and lead within the scope of your role. Additionally, leaders is not just synonymous with work to us. We work with people who identify as leaders in many senses of the word - leaders in their families, communities, places of learning, as well as workplaces and businesses.

  • Great question! Our Founder Amanda is working to build a collective of partner coaches so that you have a range of coaches with a range of lived experiences, interests, and more. In our initial call, we’ll discuss options! Our current coaching team is Amanda and Sarah (info about us above).

  • Here’s what you get in coaching with our Founder Amanda. (Our partner coaches offer similar packages with some nuance.)

    8, 10, or 12 coaching sessions (phone or Zoom - your choice). The first session is a 80 minute deep dive into you. We call this an Hour One. All other sessions are 50 minutes.

    A custom built discovery package comprised of insight-revealing questionnaire designed especially for you. This intentional time helps you to begin to think deeply, reflect, explore, and understand what’s true for you today before you ever step foot into your first coaching session.

    In-session exercises to help you explore your identity, what you care about, what you’re really good at, what’s holding you back, and what would be possible if nothing was in your way.

    Optional start-of-session meditations to help you get grounded in the session.

    Intentional growth work in between sessions to deepen learning and make it stick, including journaling prompts, podcast recommendations, and more.

    Email support in-between sessions because life happens in between coaching sessions.

    A completion session to help you reflect back and chart your course forward.

  • That’s understandable. It’s natural to want to feel seen, heard, and understood — especially by your coach. I have experience with the following: starting a small business, running a side hustle, leading a team, managing transitions and change, hiring, nonprofits, philanthropic organizations, tech companies, start-ups, working in the education sector, inclusion and belonging, the experience of being a woman in leadership, navigating my LGBTQ+ identity at work and in life, learning to prioritize my needs, and more. Our Pricing

Economic justice and creating more access to the benefits of coaching are incredibly important to us. As of January 2021, we are pleased to offer sliding scale pricing and payment plans for individual coaching. This comes from a deep desire to create more access points for folks interested in coaching who may not have been traditionally able to do so in the past. Additionally, our commitment is to continue to create offerings to support those who would experience significant hardship in accessing individual coaching packages.
